When a Regional Energy Services Company approached Nenni & Associates with an opportunity to execute a search for an Executive Vice President position at their company, our BTG team, including Trevor Morrison, Sam Swafford, and Sean Bayless, were happy to accept the challenge. The purpose of the search was to find the right candidate to fulfill the role of building and scaling a successful business. The ESV had a goal of expanding their footprint to a national level, and the new EVP would require an extensive understanding and vast knowledge of the Energy Services Space.
Beyond an understanding of the ESPC, other requirements of the final candidate would be a proven track record of strong sales leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the Energy Services Space legislation and strategies all across the USA. These skills would be necessary to fulfill the role as EVP as the company scales and expands, nationally.
Thankfully, through an existing relationship in the industry with someone we’d previously worked with, the BTG team at Nenni provided the client with six top-tier candidates who were all pulled from the Energy Services Industry.
After careful deliberation through building relationships, interviews, research, and conversations, two finalists were chosen, and eventually, one finalist was identified. The decision was based upon the candidate’s strategic alignment with the company’s core values and goals and their perfect cultural fit. This candidate demonstrated confidence and proof of performance and success in previous roles.
The Energy Services Company extended a generous offer and the finalist was compelled to accept the competitive compensation package. They felt the new role as EVP with the company was an excellent fit with their career goals and could foresee long term growth opportunities and ties to overall business profitability.
Sean Bayless is a Managing Partner for Nenni and Associates, leading business development and talent evaluation services in all areas of the HVAC market. Sean is an experienced senior manager who manages critical relationships with HVAC Manufacturers and Mechanical Contractors.
Trevor Morrison has been with Nenni and Associates since May 2013. As an Energy Services Account Executive, he manages and develops a client base comprising organizations in the energy solutions and sustainable infrastructure industries.
Sam Swafford has been with the Nenni and Associates team since April 2013. As an HVAC and Energy Account Executive, he manages and develops a client base heavily made up of HVAC/Mechanical Service providers. In 2017, Sam also took over responsibilities as Team Leader to establish a team of Account Managers.
