Through an existing client relationship, Nenni & Associates partnered with a rapidly growing top MEP Consulting Engineering firm for the purpose of an Executive Search to find the company’s new Electrical Department Lead. As a leader in the development of net zero energy and high-performance buildings, the firm was ready to fill this position that had been vacant for two years prior to engaging the Nenni team.
As the Nenni & Associates Team, including Taryn Mathey and Corey Kravitz, took on the challenge of finding the candidate to fulfill the Electrical Department Lead position, they focused on finding a Senior Electrical Engineer with a PE license and at least 10 years of experience working for an MEP consulting engineering firm.
The team began by pulling three top-tier candidates from MEP Engineering Services. Each candidate met the client’s requirements of a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a PE license. The right candidate also needed a strong customer-facing personality and a drive to succeed. After building relationships through conversations and interviews, the team at Nenni & Associates narrowed down the three candidates to one finalist.
The finalist showed strong capability to meet the challenges required of the company and the Electrical Department Lead position. The client was compelled to make an offer and felt confident that this individual matched the company’s culture and that their strategies were in alignment. The candidate accepted as they agreed they were a great fit culturally and the missions aligned. The candidate also saw the opportunity to continue to develop their leadership capabilities and therefore further their career by accepting the role.
